B asked me to read this one after she really enjoyed it。 It was fun!
storystereo,
I don’t know how to feel about this book。 I liked the beginning okay enough, then some of the middle parts were getting to me。 Enough that I almost didn’t finish it。 Then the last seven chapters, I quite liked, even though it was a bit out there, believability-wise。Like I said, I don’t know about it。 And I’m concerned that I won’t like the first two as much as I did, should I reread them。。。
VBergen,
boring book, but at least super clumsy, bad luck, be-my-friend Luci could handle an emergency situation。
Tammy,
How to make and keep friends。Let's see she had earthquakes and fires to deal with。 Family who were not behaving like family and a friend who she can not trust。 But there's two days in a Mars Habit to cheer her up。 How to make and keep friends。Let's see she had earthquakes and fires to deal with。 Family who were not behaving like family and a friend who she can not trust。 But there's two days in a Mars Habit to cheer her up。 。。。more
nukie19,
My six year old and I read this together and she says 5 stars for Luciana! This was a fun end to her trilogy but we wished there were more to read about her adventures。
Laurie,
American Girl successfully brings us a modern geek Latina girl who has her head in space—literally wanting to be the first girl to go to Mars, but still has to deal with down to earth issues of trust in friendship, & discord between family members。 Lucy is an admirable heroine。
BRBRB,
OK。 A bit TOO dramatic, like when crazy Claire runs away in the desert。 But I do love most of the books。 The first and second were amazing。 I think you should give it a try, though。 You may like Luciana: Braving the Deep, (which is the second book), if you like this one。 Just try it, though。 That's my opinion。And the first part of the book, with the earthquake, is my favourite。Good。 Good book。 OK。 A bit TOO dramatic, like when crazy Claire runs away in the desert。 But I do love most of the books。 The first and second were amazing。 I think you should give it a try, though。 You may like Luciana: Braving the Deep, (which is the second book), if you like this one。 Just try it, though。 That's my opinion。And the first part of the book, with the earthquake, is my favourite。Good。 Good book。 。。。more
Anna,
Luciana: Out of This World is the last--and most far-fetched--book in the Luciana series。 I liked the first-aid scenes, and the way we got to see more of Luciana's Chilean culture。 I do think that Luciana's mistake (view spoiler)[ of letting the samples be smashed (hide spoiler)] seemed too engineered--didn't she learn her lesson about charging ahead without paying attention to directions in her first book? Something about the writing style in this book was also weird compared to the first two。 Luciana: Out of This World is the last--and most far-fetched--book in the Luciana series。 I liked the first-aid scenes, and the way we got to see more of Luciana's Chilean culture。 I do think that Luciana's mistake (view spoiler)[ of letting the samples be smashed (hide spoiler)] seemed too engineered--didn't she learn her lesson about charging ahead without paying attention to directions in her first book? It seemed weird。 I think an #ownvoices perspective would have improved this book。 As far as I know, Teagan is white。 。。。more

OMG!!!!!This was like the best read of the month。I picked this book up at America(I am from Thailand)and read it in the plan and loved it。At my local bookstore they didn't have any of the books。So,I have to pre order it。I loved it so much I started reading the third book before the first and second book。As Luciana goes to visit her family her enemy asks her to go to the Mars habitat and see real NASA scientists work。She really wanted to go but she have to think about it because of her enemy's be OMG!!!!!This was like the best read of the month。I picked this book up at America(I am from Thailand)and read it in the plan and loved it。At my local bookstore they didn't have any of the books。So,I have to pre order it。I loved it so much I started reading the third book before the first and second book。As Luciana goes to visit her family her enemy asks her to go to the Mars habitat and see real NASA scientists work。She really wanted to go but she have to think about it because of her enemy's betrayal at diving camp。Will Luciana decide to go and have that awesome experience or will she not go and just blow it。Find out as you read the book。 。。。more

Heather,
In the third and final installment to the Luciana series for the American Girl doll of the year 2018 Luciana returns to Chile and her family roots。 Once she arrives though she is torn between spending time with her cousins and meeting up with her friend from astronaut camp Claire。 This was my favorite of the three books because there was drama, and friendship, plus lots of family togetherness。
Emily,
This book was interesting。 Although a good chunk of he book was in a strange place in the desert, I liked how a lot of scenes and most of the theme was about family。 It felt more personal than just a never ending space adventure like the other two books were。 They were good but you can only have so many repeats of friendship stories in space learning environments。 I think they did a good job involving space in this one while at the same time giving the theme a little twist。
Melissa,
The plot was a little far-fetched (even more so than book 2) but neither my daughter nor I cared because the writing is so compelling。 I read a couple of chapters out loud to her every night, but later found out she was reading several chapters ahead after official "lights out" because she wanted to find out what happens next。 We can't wait for the next Luciana book to come out!
